Effective August 17, 2026 · Pura Mama Inc. · Calgary, Alberta, Canada

This is the notice for this website, pura-mama.com. The Pura Mama app at app.pura-mama.com is a separate service that handles much more — your profile, your check-ins, your coach conversations — and it has its own, longer policy: app.pura-mama.com/privacy. If you are using the app, that's the one you want.

The short version

This website is a set of pages you read. There are no accounts, no logins, and nothing follows you around the internet afterward. The only personal information we collect is an email address, and only if you type one into the waitlist box yourself. Everything else we see is an anonymous count of which pages get read.

Who we are, and how to reach a person

Pura Mama Inc. is a company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We make trilingual nutrition support for pregnancy and postpartum, in English, Spanish and French. Write to us at hello@pura-mama.com and a human answers.

What this website collects

Your email address — only if you give it to us. The waitlist form on our home pages asks for one thing, an email address, and we use it for one thing: to write to you about Pura Mama — when the app opens where you live, and occasionally recipes and postpartum nutrition notes. We don't ask for your name, your due date, your baby's age, or anything about your body, your birth or your feeding. If you'd rather not use a form, just email us directly.

Anonymous visit measurements. Every page loads a small counting script from Vercel, the company that hosts this site. It tells us that a page was read. It does not tell us who read it.

What this website does not collect

No advertising trackers. No social media pixels. No session recording — we cannot watch you move through a page. No profile of you is built, here or anywhere. We do not buy contact lists, we do not sell your email address, and we do not share it with advertisers. And we collect no health information at all on this website: there is no form here that asks about your pregnancy, your birth, or your baby.

Vercel Web Analytics — what it sees, and what it can't

What it sees: which page was opened, which site or search sent you, your country, your browser, operating system and device type, and your screen size. It also creates a temporary visitor marker by scrambling your IP address together with your browser type and a secret value that changes every day.

What it cannot do: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Your IP address is not kept. It has no idea of your name or email. Because the secret value changes daily, today's visit cannot be connected to yesterday's — the marker expires with the day. It is never joined to your waitlist email or to an app account. We look only at totals: how many people read a page, from which country, in which language.

You can turn this off — see Turning measurement off, below.

Web3Forms — how your email reaches our inbox

This website has no server of its own, so when you submit the waitlist form your browser sends the address to Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. Web3Forms passes the submission along as an ordinary email to hello@pura-mama.com. They handle it only to deliver it to us, under our instructions, and they are not permitted to use it for anything of their own. A copy may sit briefly on their systems while it is being delivered.

Then it lands in our inbox — and our inbox is the entire list. There is no marketing platform behind this form today: no automatic sequences, no tags, no tracking of whether you opened anything. If that ever changes, we will update this page and tell you before the first automated email is sent.

Where your information is processed

Outside Quebec, and outside Canada. Vercel Inc. is in the United States. Web3Forms' servers are outside Canada. Our email provider's servers may be outside Canada too.

That matters, so we'll say it plainly: information held in another country can be reached by that country's courts, police and government under that country's laws, not Canada's. We reduce the risk the only way that really works — by sending as little as possible. For the waitlist, that is one email address and nothing else.

How long we keep your email, and how to be removed

We keep a waitlist address until you ask us to remove it, or until 24 months pass with no contact between us — whichever comes first. Then we delete it.

To be removed, write hello@pura-mama.com from any address and say so — "remove me" is enough. We delete it within 10 business days and confirm back to you. No reason needed, no questions asked, and nothing said about it afterward.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it's wrong, withdraw your consent at any time, and ask us to delete it. Email hello@pura-mama.com. We answer within 30 days.

If you think we've handled your information badly and our answer doesn't satisfy you, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), and if you live in Quebec, to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Turning measurement off

You don't have to be counted. Use the switch below and the counting script stops loading on every page of this site, for this browser. We also honour Global Privacy Control automatically: if your browser or extension sends that signal, we don't load the script at all and you don't have to do anything.

Cookies

This website sets none. Not one — not for measurement, not for preferences, not for advertising. The only thing we may store on your device is the measurement setting above, if you use it. That's why you'll never see a cookie banner here. You have enough to click through in a day.

If something goes wrong

If personal information from this site is ever lost, exposed or accessed without permission, we record it in our confidentiality incident register, we take steps to reduce the harm, and where there is a risk of serious injury to you we notify you and the relevant privacy authorities — including the Commission d'accès à l'information for anyone in Quebec.

Who this website is for

Adults, 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us an email address, write to us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we change how this website handles your information — a new provider, a new kind of data, a real mailing list — we update this page and its effective date first, not afterward.

Who is responsible for the protection of your personal information
